Fabulous Gold Minx Manicure

Following on from my earlier post about Samantha’s fabulous Gold half-moon manicure in Sex and the City 2 and my even earlier post about Minx manicures, I’ve done a little bit more investigating.

I’m not sure exactly what was used for Samantha’s gold manicure in the Sex and the City 2 movie, but from what I can tell it is a Minx manicure.

Minx are metallic stickers that are applied and fitted to your exact nail shape. They come in a variety of designs, from plain silver or gold (Like in the pic) or if you want to be a little more funky you can go for a leopard print Minx manicure like Katy Perry, a tartan one or even houndstooth prints! They all have a metallic shining finish.

The manicures and pedicures are meant to last for up to 3 weeks at a time, and prices for a regular Minx manicure usually start at around £30.

I still haven’t had a Minx manicure yet, but I quite a few of my friends have and they have all been really impressed.

There are a few places that do Minx manicures – Nails Inc offer a Minx manicure for £30 -  but the best thing to do is search locally – tonnes of independant salons offer Minx manicures, with some even offering Minx parties!
